Subject: jog or move ignore limit switch

Hello,

I have setup +/- limit switches for XY table. I am using Mach3 as the main UI with +/- limit without home switch.

I used the c program to home and that is working; however, when I moved or jogged using Mach3 and it continue to move or to jog even the limit switch was active. I tried Mach3's soft limit without and Mach3 just ignore it.

Am I missing setup in Mach3 with KFLOP? Or can I have the KFLOP to stop when the limit switch is active?

Hi Norman,

The Limit Switches and Soft Limits are configured in KFLOP. When using KFLOP it handles all the real time requirements like Step Pulse Generation, Limits, Homing, etc. See:

Soft Limits are usually configured in the Homing program as there isn't a basis for the limits until after the system has been homed.
